My Story

My name is Stephanie Catanzaro. I am a nonprofit leader, music educator, and photographer. Currently, I serve as the Executive Director of Springboro Wind Symphony, a premiere ensemble that connects professional musicians with communities through performances and education.

Music has been an important part of my life since I was a child. In school, I was fortunate to attend the Interlochen Arts Camp. The love for music continued into college, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Music Education at Wright State University, where I studied with Dr. Randall Paul and won the Concerto Night Competition.

Along my musical journey, I discovered immense joy in helping others discover their potential and guide them through actionable changes to achieve their greatest desires. This newfound passion encouraged me to take the leap into leadership!

In 2021, I received my master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Executive Leadership from Liberty University. Additionally, I earned a Professional Coaching Certification from Fowler International Business Academy and my Performance Certificate in Connected Leadership from Yale University.

I love music and helping others. Together, these two passions have allowed me to connect and lead countless students, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations to great results.

Life is a Journey

MUSIC

I started my career as a band director and elementary music teacher for Dayton Public Schools.  I loved those students so much and was fortunate to start an after-school practice program that helped mentor them throughout their musical journey.

After that, I started my own clarinet studio called SNC Music Studio LLC, where I regularly taught nearly 40 students from all over the Dayton region.  My students consistently developed into exceptional musicians and received many awards and superior ratings in both solo and ensemble contests. In 2016, a quartet from my studio was one of eight groups selected from across the country to participate in the Music for All National Festival.

After high school, many of my students continue with music in college and are regularly accepted into prestigious universities throughout the country, such as the New England Conservatory and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.

LEADERSHIP

One of my favorite parts about music has been the opportunity to meet people and nonprofit leaders and discover my ability and passion to lead organizations into a prosperous future. I’ve helped individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits design and implement actionable plans for short and long term success. To learn more about my leadership experience, click here.

PHOTOGRAPHY

In addition to music and leadership, I am a professional photographer and own a studio that specializes in landscape and animal photography. Nature is beautiful and something I love to share with others to enjoy. My work is regularly on display at art shows and online, where all my prints are available for sale. In addition to my studio, I have served as an event photographer through Dayton & Cincinnati and provide shoots upon request when available.

PERSONAL

You probably figured this out already, but I love staying active! I enjoy running, learning how to play the cello, and spending time with my husband and toddler son.
